Hello everyone, I have a DEAR friend who works with PAWS New England dog rescue, she is the lady I got my Beezo from. She is local, lives in barrington. She wanted me to pass the word along about Maxter, a Pug recently pulled from a high kill shelter. Meme is willing to pay his transport fee which would make him free to the right home!!! He reminds me of my Beezo, a quiet old man with alot to give! Please read his story and let me know if you are interested. He is fawn I do have pics just not sure how to download to message board. Here is some info:

Max is a 12y/o crotchety little old man. :) He loves people, and tolerates other dogs but prefers his own space and does not share food, which is his primary focus (only when he's awake). Max has terrible arthritis in his back but gets around fine and is feeling better since he takes Metacam every morning in a big hunk of braunschweiger. Max was picked up stray and taken to a hi-kill shelter in Sangamon County, Illinois. He had a rabies tag on, but his owners' phone number was disconnected. A letter was sent to them - it did not come back, nor was it answered. Nobody came to get Max.

We will do a dental on Max along with his routine vet work, and will waive the adoption fee if you can find a pug person to offer him a nice retirement home. There will be a transport fee of $125 to get him to New England. Thanks for caring for this sweet old fellow - it's more than his family did for him.
