Hi Fellow Pug Lovers,

I just gat a call last night while I was at work (I work at a large emergency animal hospital) from a woman who works with an animal rescue group telling me there are 2 Pugs in the shelter in Bakersfield. The rescue group can pull them from the shelter, spay/nueter them if necessary and get them checked out by a vet, BUT they don't have anyone to foster them while a forever home can be located. She called me in hopes I could foster them, but I already have one foster and I am taking in 2 more fosters tomorrow plus I have my own Pugs, so I am overly full right now. I don't have many details on the 2 Pugs from the shelter, all I know is they are around 4 & 6 years old. They are trying to get more info for me. I know Pug Rescue is overloaded with Pugs right now too because I called them about the 2 I am taking in tomorrow and Suzi told me they are quite full, so I decided to take them in myself. I also have an elderly Pug I am fostering for Pug rescue as well because it came into my work to be put to sleep because the owners landlord said she had to get rid of one dog. I couldn't let this gorgeous creature be put to sleep, so I took him in hopes that Pug Rescue could foster him, but they were full, so I took him as well and he will most likely be with me for the rest of his life because there isn't much demand for adopting older Pugs. However, he is on Pug Rescue's website in hopes that someone will want to adopt him. PLEASE, if you or anyone you know can help out with fostering, there are Pugs out there that need help. You can email me directly at Puglady24@yahoo.com if you can offer up a foster home for one or both of the Bakersfield Pugs, we just need to get them out of the shelter and can worry about a forever home once we spring them. As soon as we have at least a foster home lined up, I will call the rescue and they will pull them out ASAP.

Thanks,
Lisa
