No More Tears Rescue

Hi All,
Some of you may be familiar with this organization, but if not 'No More Tears' is a rescue group that travels to puppy mills (mostly in PA) and helps saves dogs the mill owners no longer have a use for and will be 'disposing' of. Most of these dogs need medical attention and socialization, all of them need forever homes. The group's roots were rescuing a couple dogs at a time and now they save up to 40 dogs, including pugs, every month. They are Staten Island based and will be having a fund-raising event Saturday 6/22 on the Island. Check out the link for some more info. The mills they rescue the dogs from are some of the same hell holes Oprah had featured on her show. Reading the description of the visit to these places it's hard to imagine that people and mills like this exist only a few hours from NYC. Spread the word about the 22nd, the more help they get the more dogs will have a chance at a happy, healthy life!
