Hi all-
I'm Jamie. I have 2 pugs of my own. Beddy-Boop and Isis. My "house guest" is Mikey. I also volunteer and foster for Orlando Pug Rescue and Adoption (OPRA). I know it's hard to imagine anyone giving up their pug but let me tell you the numbers are staggering. OPRA rescued 81 pugs and pug mixes last year and we're approaching 50 so far this year. Even though we're based in Orlando we help pugs in need all over Florida and have foster homes in Tallahassee, Jacksonville and Melbourne to name a few. I'm posting this hoping that some of you will be willing to help. Volunteers are needed to transport pugs to and from your area and OPRA can always use safe, pug loving homes that are willing to foster a sweet pug until he/she can be adopted. If you love pugs like I do and would like to foster or help in any way please go to our website: www.orlandopugrescue.net and submit your volunteer application. As our motto says- "FOR THE LOVE OF PUGS".

Cory and I are willing to adopt one or two pugs at most. We have one, and have actually been in correspondence with several show breeders to get a top quality pug to raise from puppy-hood. However, I would much rather give a displaced puggie a home than buy one I know will only go to a home that the owner knows can meet the pugs needs. We want a pug our pug will be compatable with, so they would have to meet. It would also need to be a pug that doesn't have serious behavioral problems, and is fully house-trained. Our pug sleeps in the bed with us and cuddles with us wherever we are at home. We participate in our local meetup and are great pug parents. If you have a pug that would be a good permanent family member, please let me know. We're in the Pensacola Pug Meetup Group.

Hi Mandy and Cory-
Thanks for your interest in possibly adopting. Did you go to the OPRA website and submit an application? A lot of the pugs we re-home never make it to the website because the perfect forever homes are already figured out based on adopters wants, needs, and concerns. We've got awesome matchmakers.

Happy Mother's Day!
