i have tow pugs, both 1 year old. oscar so so much larger then teddy but they eat the same. when oscar was last weighed he was 12.8. does anyone know is this is too heavy.

Hi there. Most people say that a dog is on the right weight if you can either see the ribs or even if you cannot see them (especially in dogs with black coat) feel the ribs easily. I would probably say that almost 13 kg is on the overweight side of things. Ask your vet, preferably someone with experience with Pugs

I saw a weight chart at the vet's recently and it said pugs should be between 6-8 kgs. Howard is nearly 9 kgs and our vet said we should consider trying to slim him down a bit...!
