Yes Josie.This all came about last night. Here is the scoop: Today myself and another volunteer were transporting them up to Vermont. We were going to keep them overnight in temp foster w/ one of our volunteers and had the transport arrangement made to get them into GMPR in Vermont. We had no foster homes that could accomadate both pugs right now. GMPR offered to help and had a foster for both to stay together.

So it took a lot of scheduling and arranging for their journey. Long story short is the owner and I spoke last night and she decided she will keep them until a local rescue can take them in togther. She is located in Staten Island and will be requesting that she be informed when a foster home opens up for both pugs. Several rescues have been ntified on this.

PLEASE give fostering a shot. We don't want to turn any pug(s) away. We go through extremes for these pugs in need and will do what ever it take to bring these pugs to safety even if it means getting them up to Vermont! They have so many dedicated volunteers at GMPR if we could have 1/4 of their volunteers bless those pug Angels :)

So If we can keep any pug here in NJ safe until they are adopted PLEASE contact us. We would be happy to discuss fostering and any doubts you may have regarding becomming attached. The goal is saving the life of a pug in need.

If you can't foster please support pug rescue efforts in other ways. Even something like gift certificates for the special foods pugs require, gas gift cards to help in doing home visits, transports, rechecks on pugs that were placed in adopters homes will help so much.

Thanks Kim for updating this information for everyone. And like Kim stated above, PLEASE give fostering a shot. There are so many unwanted animals in shelters right now and the only way that rescues can get them out of there and make sure they find there furever homes is if they have people who will volunteer to FOSTER them.

So Please if you or someone you know can foster for either KIM MONDELL, PUG PLANET RESCUE or for KAREN, ADOPT A BUDDY RESCUE, please send them each a private email and let them know that you are ready and willing to help them out in foster or in anyway possible.

PS. These 2 pugs are still looking for a good home and someone that can foster them. SO please try to FOSTER a dog if you can or recommend someone who can to do so. Thanks.
