Be frightened; be very very frightened, for...
it's time for the second annual NNJPE Boo Bash, and you're invited! If there's one event you don't want to miss, this is it! Last year's event was a howling good time for both Pugs and Their People, and we expect this year to be even better!
Festive decorations will be in place, along with music to thrill and chill you! There will be DELICIOUS TREATS (and the occasional trick) for all good little Ghosts and Goblinpugs and their owners as well, and beverages will also be provided. Scheduled events will include "Pat and the Puggettes" doing their infamous Pug levitation, Pug apple bobbing and pin the curly tail on the Puggie, along with a midday showing of the hit movies "Pugbusters" and "An American Werepug"... you won't want to miss a thing! (See; the tricks have already started...)
Additionally, all attending Puggies will be eligible to enter our costume contest; the "Top Dog" will win "Best in Show", and there will also be SPECIAL TROPHIES and GREAT PRIZES for cutest, scariest, most creative, and best Pug duo or group. Participants will be awarded these great prizes based upon their costume's originality, so put your "best paw forward", and get creative! (The group photo session will take place at 12:30 PM, and the costume contest will promptly follow.) Just added; each Puggie household will be going home with a special little PLUSH PUG SOUVINEER (And that is only one of many treats...) Last but not least, we will continue the sale of the Entertainment book at this event (cost of $25.00), to benefit Pug Rescue and any surplus revenue generated by this event (after expenses!), will also be donated to Pug Rescue.
THIS JUST IN! The kind folks over at Dick Van Patten's "Natural Balance" have provided us with a GENEROUS allotment of their Puglicious premium quality dog food samples, and EACH Boo Bash attendee will be going home with 2 different varieties! TWO PAWS UP for "Natural Balance", and a big THANK YOU from all of us!
This event will be held at our favorite indoor "stomping ground", Best Friends Pet Resort in Chestnut Ridge, NY. It just doesn't get any better than this! (There's a limited amount of seating, so please consider bringing your own.) Sure, you could always spend Saturday morning sweeping Puggy dust bunnies, but you know you'd rather be with us...
Pugs in costume; they will be dressed,
all adorned in their Howloween best.
Some will be scary; some will be cute;
Some will arrive in their own "birthday suit".
Will it be trick; will it be treat,
With any luck, there'll be good stuff to eat!
Pugs on parade; just look at them strut;
Curly tails in the air; paw to paw, nose to butt.
So NNJPE members; come young and come old,
and don't miss the Boo Bash; an event to behold!
