PARADE ROUTE & LINE-UP
¨ The Parade will kick-off promptly at 10:30 am. The parade route begins at Fairview and Grand (NEW START
LCOATION) then proceeds west along Grand to Dale (NEW END LOCATION). Grand Avenue and all side streets
are closed after 8:00 am. Parade dispersal is along Grand Hill, east of Dale Street.
¨ Saint Paul Jaycees are the 2008 Grand Old Day Parade Coordinators?they will serve as the point of contact on
the day of the parade. Parade participants MUST comply with all directions given by Saint Paul Jaycees, St.
Paul Police and GABA volunteers during parade line-up and the parade.
¨ Lineup begins at 9:30 am. One person from your unit must report to the Saint Paul Jaycees Parade Coordinator
at the corner of Fairview and Grand (NOTE: PARADE BEGINS AT FAIRVIEW) prior to going to your lineup location.
¨ You are advised to carpool, as parking is not provided. Vehicles are not permitted to park along the parade
route or in the staging area, regardless of weather.
¨ The parade is 2.5 miles long and there is a hill. Dress appropriately for the walk and bring water. If your unit is
walking, your unit may include one safety vehicle or multiple wagons and you should stage cars at the end of
the parade.
