Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have a sugestion on a small pocket or purse size digital camera ? I have a really nice big one but I hae carrying it around everywhere--looking for something small, light, that can fit in a purse or pocket for the dog park, meet-ups, walks, etc...

I have a Canon PowerShot A530. It is amazing and is nice and small and takes great pictures. I don't know how I lived without it before (I was using disposable). It was about $200 I think perhaps a bit more.

Oh I would recommend the Sony Cyber Shot I LOVE it!!!! It's 8.1 mega pixels. Look it up and all of it's functions at sonys web site, it's The Cyber Shot DSC-W130 I got mine for about $250.

We have a Sony Cybershot also, and I have been very pleased with it.

My new digital is a Canon Powershot SD 750, I believe. I love LOVE it! It takes beautiful photos, has a nice big screen, 7.1 megs, good zoom.....great in-camera editing features, and very slim design. Great quality, and not overly expensive for the features.

I have a Nikon Coolpix (in a fun chocolate sparkly brown color) that I love. Takes great pictures, huge screen in the back, but still compact. I got it at Ritz camera -- when I went there to get a new camera, the guy was helpful and they had all the cameras on display and I could play with them, take pictures with them, etc.

Granted, my big-a$$ Canon camera takes better pictures, but I should hope it would for a full fledged camera that cost more then my pug! wink

I have had the Canon Powershot since the 100 series (have upgraded as time as passed). My newest one broke and I plan on replacing it with another one (someone dropped it and it landed on the extended lens-- it had survived previous falls).

I love them. Easy to use, good pictures.
