Not to change the direction of this thread from the lovely Roxanne
but I'm frustrated with this flu crap too. I had it bad (and I mean BAD) in August--I haven't been that sick in YEARS. I didn't go to a doctor for treatment/testing, so I don't know which flu I had. My dad thinks probably H1N1 since it was so darn nasty, but I have no way of knowing. I'm not in the prime group for H1N1 vaccine, so I doubt that'd be available to me anyway...but do I get a seasonal flu shot, even though I've already been ill? With so many viruses out there, how do we know getting one measly shot will even protect us? I always feel like garbage after I get a flu shot--that's why I'm hesitant. Blah. |

Not to change the direction of this thread from the lovely Roxanne...My household is waiving the Flu-shot thing this time around. Frank was vacinated last year, before he went to Italy for his active duty tour.... Besides,I think I caught it last September, before they had officially titled it "Swine Flu"....since they are just now reporting the vacination's side effects, .... given the choice, I'd rather have the flu! |

Not to change the direction of this thread from the lovely Roxanne No big deal Mariel. Sometimes a subject is brought up on a certain thread, and is commented on. It happens, no problem with me. I'll keep you posted on Roxanne! I've gotten a look at the tumors around her abdomen. Not a nice feeling. but they still could be benign. I have that hope for her!![]() |

I was hoping for better news too. My biggest worry now would be the tumors being malignant. We are setting up at a Canine Cancer Awareness pet fair on Nov 7. There will be vets specialists there to talk to. I will bring her with me to this. They will be discussing cancer, signs and new treatments. I wish I would have known what to look for with Sledgehammer....here's hoping the Vet will have some good news this week!..... ![]() |

Yes, I hope to get to talk with the vet at the Canine Cancer Awareness pet fair we will set up at. I will take her with me, and hopefully they'll take a look at her. Especially since she is a rescue. She seems to be getting better. Putting on weight. But its what we DON'T see, bloodwork, hips and the tumors that has me worried. |

I do hope things are better for her. God bless her heart. She did her version of the pugtona this morning! She was flying around in circles with her wobbly back end. She is getting the hang of where she has to potty, outside, even if it is on my patio. But once she has to go, she cannot hold it. I'm sure her wobbly back end would have something to do with that? Or being over bred maybe? If its her back end, it would be a spinal issue and not the hips? ![]() Resting after the pugtona! |
